Sigiriya

One of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress was built by King Kashyapa around 450 AD. We tighten our laces and head to the top, taking in water gardens and frescoes along the way.

TRAIN JOURNEY

A highlight of Nina’s Pathways tours is our ascension into Sri Lanka's world-famous tea plantations on a Colonial-era British steam train. Soak up the views as we zig-zag around the mountains, through tea plantations and across stunning bridges.

GALLE

I love to take guests exploring in my favourite city, magical Galle. Built by the Portuguese in 1619 and expanded upon in subsequent centuries by the Dutch and the British, there’s so many layers of history and architecture to discover. Wandering its rambling lanes you'll pass stylish cafes and quirky boutiques owned by foreign artists, writers, photographers and designers.

Once again you and your fantastic little tour company managed to get the balance just right in so many ways for your eclectic group of guests. From the cultural and historic to the natural and everyday sights, sounds, smells and activities of this amazing country we were left enchanted and amazed on a daily basis (even for me on the second time around).
